Special Oil Transformers Customised Tank Designs In Ireland
For some applications, our hermetically sealed or free-breathing transformers with fins or radiators need a customised tank design to allow the connection of other components in the transformation cabin.
Our special oil transformers are an oil‑filled unit with a customised tank design tailored to fit additional equipment inside a transformation cabin, such as MV or LV circuit breakers or switches.
They can be built as hermetically sealed or free‑breathing and fitted with fins or radiators to suit site and thermal requirements.
They operate like a standard oil‑immersed transformer, but the tank is adapted to allow mechanical and electrical connections to other components.
The terminals can be arranged laterally with access from above via a porthole or removable cover, while fins, radiators or internal cushions manage oil expansion and cooling.
MV & LV Connections For Special Oil Transformers
These instruments could be an MV or LV circuit breaker or switch. For some markets, the MV and LV terminals can be supplied laterally, with the possibility of inspection of the transformer from above using a porthole or by removing the cover.
